Campers
We love our campers and work hard to create a fun, fast-paced environment with hands on opportunities. Many kids come year after year, and some even grow into becoming counselors at the farm. A typical day includes morning group time, animal chores, animal stations, fishing, group activity, lunch, barn time and we often finish our day cooling off in our air-conditioned gathering barn with snacks and drinks. Some children prefer to play games outside with their counselor or friends, while others prefer quieter games inside. We try to offer something for everyone!

Junior COunselors
Junior Counselors are past campers with multiple years of camp attendance, and an interest in leadership opportunities. Junior Counselors are paid campers, but are given additional opportunities for leadership above and beyond a camper role. Junior Counselors typically begin at age 11, but on a rare occasion can start as early as 9 years old.
After a junior counselor has paid for and attended two sessions in one summer, they are OFTEN, but not always invited to come to the remaining sessions at no additional cost for additional training. We do try to offer additional training for junior counselors the first two weeks of camp.
Junior counselors typically stay in this role for 2-3 years before advancing to a Counselor in Training role, though on occasion some junior counselors are promoted ahead of schedule.
If you think your child may be ready or interested in a junior counselor position, please contact Ashley at adventuredaysonthefarm@gmail.com

COunselor in Training (CIT)
Counselors in Training are past campers or junior counselors with multiple years of camp attendance, and an interest in leadership opportunities. Counselors in Training are CPR and AED Certified courtesy of the Farm, and volunteer their time to help grow their leadership and community skills. Often our experienced CITs are promoted to a Sr Counselor position after volunteering for many years. On the other hand, some CITs prefer to stay in this role for many years as it is animal and chore based and more behind the scenes, rather than leading others in a senior counselor role. We will soon be launching an application specific for those who are interested in moving to this role.
